Ramesh Taurani of Tips confirmed the project saying, “Yes, we have signed on Katrina and Ranbir for a love story to be directed by Raj Kumar Santoshi.”

Prior to signing this film, the pair were appearing together in Siddharth Anand’s new movie for Yash Raj. However, their scenes together were cut because the length of the film was to long. Apparently the chemistry between the two actors was fantastic and a source said, “Much was being talked about how great the two looked together and how sizzling their onscreen chemistry was. When Raj Kumar Santoshi learnt about this and saw it for himself, he just couldn't resist taking them on for his next film.”

About Ranbir Santoshi said, “I wanted to work with Ranbir the minute I saw him in Saawariya. I see that special spark in him. In fact after I saw him in Saawariya I sent him a bouquet, I was so impressed by him.”

Adding, “For very long now I wanted to make a pure love story. I've written this script some time back. I was waiting for the right face. I think Ranbir was destined to be the hero in my love story.”

The mega-budget project will go on floors soon. Ramesh Taurani, the head honcho of Tips, the company which will produce this project, confirmed the news. “Yes, we have signed on Katrina and Ranbir for a love story to be directed by Raj Kumar Santoshi.”

Katrina’s boy friend, Salman Khan, has worked with Ranbir in Saawariya.
