Rakesh Roshan will not be directing Hrithik in Krrish 2, but he will direct him in another film and earlier there were talks of casting newcomer Deepika Padukone for the female role in this film. However since Deepika didn’t suit the role, the idea was dropped . Now Rakesh finally seems to have found the perfect girl to star opposite Hrithik. And it is none other than newcomer Sonam Kapoor. So Sonam and not Deepika has bagged the prestigious role opposite Hrithik. Both Deepika and Sonam started their careers together and it seems that gradually a rivalry seems to be developing between the girls. In fact there is also talk that earlier Deepika and now Sonam is dating newcomer Rishi Kapoor's son Ranbir. 

Rakesh was keen to cast Sonam and hence he visited her father Anil Kapoor and spoke to him about casting her. A source said "Anil was thrilled that Rakesh wanted to cast Sonam. He immediately agreed that Sonam be paired opposite Hrithik in the film." Rakesh saw Saawariyaa and was very impressed with Sonam's performance and she also suits the role of his character and hence he was keen to cast her. A source further adds "he feels Sonam will look good with Hrithik. He also wants the Hrithik-Sonam pair to become popular before the Abhishek-Sonam pair in Dilli 6." Rakesh Roshan or Anil Kapoor however refused to confirm whether Sonam and Hrithik have been paired together. 

So Sonam, a newcomer already has some big projects with big actors alongside her. She will be seen with Abhishek as well as Hrithik, but it remains to see which pair will become a hit and which one will have better on-screen chemistry.
