Zee Cine Awards 2012
ANI. Ranbir Kapoor’s performance
in Rockstar managed to get him the Best Actor (Popular) trophy at the Zee
Cine Awards 2012 held in Macau on Saturday, January 21. Meanwhile, Shahrukh
Khan, who also hosted the awards with Priyanka Chopra, won the Best Actor
(Jury) award for Don 2. Vidya Balan garnered the Best Actress award in
both categories for The Dirty Picture. Best Film (Popular) went to Rockstar
and Best Film (Jury) went to The Dirty Picture. AR Rahman won the Best
Music Award for Rockstar. Jeetendra won the Lifetime Achievement
Another addition to the
list is former actor Neetu Kapoor. Shah Rukh and Neetu were having some
intense discussions on what seemed to be ‘men and their smoking habits’.
For most part of the interaction (in the smoking room) between them, Shah
Rukh seemed to be listening to her keenly. Wife Gauri, however, was oblivious
to the humdrum around and chose to occupy a corner and watch a couple of
episodes of Game of Thrones on her tablet.
SRK was also spotted asking
his friends if they had seen the recent installement of Sherlock Holmes,
which he loved. Farhan, on the other hand, was spotted browsing through
a couple of gizmos and even brought a couple of them. Filmmaker Subhash
Ghai was also seen browsing through some duty free shops and so were Neetu
and Gauri, later on. Film and TV producer Ekta Kapoor was spotted grabbing
a cup of cappucino for herself and playing the perfect daughter to her
parents Jeetendra and Shobha Kapoor.
Others spotted at the Hong
Kong airport were Ghai’s wife and daughter, actors Sarah Jane Dias, Rana
Daggubati,Sonal Chauhan, musician Bappi Lahiri with his wife, actor Priyanka
Chopra’s parents and Rishi Kapoor, who walked in much later, just before
boarding the ferry to Macau. On their arrival to Macau too, SRK was the
cynosure of all eyes as everyone went berserk trying to click photos and
get their share of interecting with the Khan. PC, who was promoting Agneepath,
reached Macau early morning straight from Dubai.
As Balan performs to a
medley of chartbusters from southern cinema, her moves will bring out the
unmistakable flavor and inimitable style of the dancers from south Indian
cinema. Burning down the stage with the raunchy ‘Naka Muka’, Vidya will
finish the performance with a flourish, shimmying to her own ‘Ooh La la,
Ooh La La’ ditty.
